Because of our easy interstate access, commute times in Chester County are usually defined by minutes – not hours. Most of our citizens enjoy a daily commute of 30 minutes or less. Charlotte, also a major employer for our county, lies just 35 minutes north with highway access all the way. Approximately 31% of our workforce commutes into the county, and 44% commute outside our borders, primarily to York and Mecklenburg Counties.
